Topic: Add "My Posts" tab

Topic Description: Would be useful to have a "My Posts" tab added to the tab strip control, where clicking takes one to a listing of their posts, in descending order.

On the forum listing home page, there is a "Last Topic / Started By" column that lists the datetime and post author of the latest post in that forum. Recommend:

Include x number of characters of the post title
Hyperlink this text directly to the post

Topic Description: I know there is an RSS feature for subscribing to a forum, but it might be useful to send the poster an email when a thread that they started receives replies.

Topic Description: I think a search feature for forums will be very useful. Also, I noticed that the site search doesn't find anything from forums.

I am assuming that your forums are written using QO, if so it should be very easy for you guys to add search ;)

Topic Description: the dates shown for each section of the forums always shows the ORIGINAL posting time of most recent thread started

and

the dates for each thread in a section always show the ORIGINAL posting time.

You can really tell if thre has been a new reply to anythign as the dates do not get updated when a reply is added to a thread.

Topic: edit/delete message and whole thread when replying

Topic Description: a way to edit (or delete) our posts would be nice too. I posted a reply to a thread, and noticed after posting that my message was wrong. I could not edit or delete it so had to add another message.

This could have also been avoided by allowing to see the whole thread when replying not just the first message.

Topic Description: I think it would be nice to allow users to upload files to forums. I just posted another message and wanted to upload screenshot but didn't see any way to do that.

The email notifications are planned and most likely they will be implemented early next year.

This feature has already been added and will be available online this week along with other enhancements including ability to limit search to specific areas of our website.

I agree with you that ability to search the forums will be very useful and want you to know that we do hope to make this available with the next update. The next update to our site is overdue as we have been busy with cranking out LINQ to Quick Objects and other enhancements.

Your assumption is correct the forums are written using QO, in fact the entire web site runs on a CMS sytem that was built in house using QO! Adding search specific to forums isn't a big deal and we'll get it done.

The site search should include forums but I noticed that its index hasn't been updated so that will be taken care of along with next update.

shows "6/13/2008 3:40:31 PM" which is the date of the first post in the latest thread, which has had several replies since then.

on http://www.akaltech.com/Views/Forum/Quick_Objects___Using_the_Business_Logic_Framework/BPT/5/7/1/Area.aspx
the date for "error while iterating through collection object"
