In the past if i did not want WCF support I simply generated code with .NET 2.0 as target. This worked great but if I used this method in .NET 3.5 I loose the LINQ support. So I would like to suggest making WCF support as an option that we can set in the designer, and the code generation should only emit WCF attributes if WCF support is turned on.

For right now I have solved this by creating a copy of the template and commenting out the attributes but just thought it would be a useful option.

Btw, I really like the ability to configure any number of templates. Great job on 4.0 and I am happily using LINQ and MySQL with QO!

Scott

Last Reply: Tue, 26 Aug 2008 00:44:36 GMT
Reply By: Ish Singh

Topic: How do I remove prefix from table name?
Topic Description: Can you please tell me how I can remove prefix from table names? I am using the ASP.NET Membership provider database so would prefer if I can remove the aspnet_ prefix from the object names.

Last Reply: Thu, 22 May 2008 13:32:02 GMT
Reply By: Ish Singh

Reply: Re: QO Designer Making WCF Support Optional in .NET 3.x

Good suggestion Scott! I will add this to list of requested features and I think we should be able to include this in the next minor version upgrade as this is pretty simple to do.

If you have any other suggestions or feedback please do not hesitate to let us know.

Thanks,
Ish
Reply: Re: How do I remove prefix from table name?

Wendy,

You can select one or more tables and then under the "Table Properties" tab set the "Table Prefix" property to "aspnet_".

I have included a screen shot that shows how to do it.

Regards,
Ish
